The Housing Authority of Fiji (HA) was established by an Act of Parliament in 1955 and began operations in 1958. Initially focused on developing rental flats, the Authority has since expanded to include the development of residential lots and the provision of mortgage financing. In 1996, it was declared a Commercial Statutory Authority, requiring it to operate as a successful business. The Housing Authority aims to provide affordable housing solutions for low to middle-income earners in Fiji.
